Pike County Sheriff Charles S. Reader reports that on July 29th, 2015 Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 3433 Long Fork Road in reference to an active burglary. Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene and apprehended thirty-one year old Zachary Atencio of Waverly, OH, and twenty-three year old Hayley Gregory of Jeffersonville, OH. Deputies located a large amount of stolen scrap metal, aluminum cans and copper wiring inside the suspect’s vehicle and were able to return the property to the owner. Deputies also located drug paraphernalia containing white powder residue inside the vehicle. While questioning the suspects, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office learned of another property where scrap metal items were stolen from an abandoned residence in the Leslie Lane area by the same suspects earlier this date.
