News Release from Sheriff Henderson

Pike county Sheriff, Richard Henderson reports that on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, while on patrol, Deputy Chris Cottrell located a stolen vehicle in Latham, Ohio. Deputy Cottrell activated his patrol vehicle’s overhead lights and the vehicle with its two occupants fled from him. Deputy Cottrell followed the vehicle from a safe distance. Additional Deputies from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Highland County Sheriff’s Office, Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Ross County Sheriff’s Office and Officers from the Peebles Police Department converged in the area and assisted in getting the vehicle stopped. After a brief foot chase, the driver, Zachary Conley (35 year old male from Peebles, Ohio), and the passenger, Quentin Havens (35 year old male from Beaver, Ohio) were taken into custody. Both Mr. Conley and Mr. Havens had active warrants for their arrest through multiple agencies and both were being sought for questioning by the Peebles Police Department.

This case will be presented to the next term of the Pike County Grand Jury
