Pike County Sheriff’s Office

Sheriff Richard Henderson reports that on November 5, 2014 deputies were dispatched to 237 Darst Road after receiving an  anonymous tip of possible meth activity at this residence. Upon arrival, deputies were able to see inside the residence and observed a male subject carrying items to the rear of the residence which are used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Once entry was made into the residence deputies apprehended and arrested Dallas Jarrett Jr., 32 years old. Dallas Jarrett Jr. was charged with Illegal Assembly of Chemicals to Manufacture Drugs (F-3), Illegal Manufacture of Drugs (F-2), Tampering with Evidence (F-3), Possession of Criminal Tools (F-5) and Assault on a Peace Officer (F-2). Due to the deliberate actions of Dallas Jarrett Jr., deputies were exposed to hazardous chemicals and were treated at the scene by EMS personnel.

Mr. Jarrett was transported to the Scioto County Jail where he will be held pending his appearance in Pike County Court. This case will be presented to an upcoming term of the Pike County Grand Jury.
