Update to previous news release of escaped inmate John Modie:

It has been learned that the previously released information regarding the vehicle, and the two females connected with Modie is unfounded.

Sheriff Charles Reader reports that Inmate John Modie convicted of murder from Cuyahoga County escaped from a detention facility in Hocking County, and is possibly headed south or toward Ross County, Ohio. Escaped Inmate Modie should have lacerations from razor wire and he should be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS. If you see John Modie DO NOT APPROACH and contact local law enforcement by dialing 911.
