Pike County Sheriff Charles S. Reader reports that on 06-24-2015 at about 10:30pm the apprehension of a major drug supplier in Pike and Ross counties. Deputies from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office along with undercover agents from the US 23 Major Crimes Task Force, Ross county Sheriff’s Office, Waverly Police Department, and Pike County Prosecutor’s Office Investigators assisted in the investigation. Sheriff Reader reports that officers working undercover surveillance on drug dealers in Pike County discovered two individuals in possession of a large quantity of drugs and what appears to be a large stash of stolen property. The two individuals identified as William Broughton, 55 years old of Waverly, Ohio, and Arron M. Hatcher 38 years old of Waverly, Ohio were apprehended on scene. The collaborative efforts of everyone involved yielded packaged drugs and several one pot method methamphetamine laboratories. Officers were assisted on scene by Waverly 200 fired department as well as Pike County EMS, and Pike County HazMat crews. Sheriff Reader States that this case will be presented to the next term of the Pike County Grand Jury.
