Pike County Sheriff Charles S. Reader reports the discovery of a Clandestine Methamphetamine Laboratory located at 3237 Sugar Run Road, Piketon, Ohio, Friday evening, June 5th, 2015. Deputies from Sheriff Charles Reader’s Office responded to the area on an anonymous tip that was received and further investigated the complaint where they located an operational methamphetamine laboratory. While conducting their investigation, Deputies discovered two suspects hiding inside the residence. They later identified them as 25 year old Amber Hinshaw of Bainbridge, Ohio and 30 year old Donald Ray Click III of Peebles, Ohio. Deputies then contacted Investigator’s from Sheriff Charles Reader’s Office where a search warrant was prepared and obtained for the residence. Upon executing the search warrant, Deputies located copious amounts of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine manufacturing items, and and operational one pot (Shake and Bake) method Methamphetamine Laboratory.

Sheriff Charles Reader’s Clandestine Lab Personnel along with Pike County Hazmat were contacted and responded to the scene to coordinate the cleanup and disposal of the dangerous items to insure the safety of the public. The units were assisted by the Pike County Pebble Squad 7 and 700 Township Fire Department personnel. Sheriff Charles Reader states that both Hinshaw and Click were arrested in connection with the Methamphetamine Laboratory. Once the investigation is concluded, the case will be forwarded to the Pike County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for presentation to the next term of Pike County Grand Jury.
